We are like the moon. We reflect The Son. Like the moon, we go through cycles. Sometimes shining brightly for Jesus, only half lit, or not at all. When we aren’t shining at all, earth has gotten in the way and blocked us from The Son. In those times, we have to choose to live by faith. Choose to believe The Son is still shining, because He is. He hasn’t moved, changed, or stopped shining. Our perspective and our circumstances have changed. Just because we don’t see or feel Jesus doesn’t mean He is gone. He is still The Light. We are just blocked by earth, and all our earthly circumstances, from seeing Him. And God still chooses to love us even when we allow earth to give us reason to doubt that The Son is shining. But also like the moon, we come back around by faith, and see The Son. Slowly we begin to shine brighter and brighter for Jesus as we believe in His goodness. Believe He works all things for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose (Romans 8:28). I believe.
